Bio:

I started working in the corporate arena in 1987. I had the opportunity to work with
some great business minds and was fortunate enough to be around brilliant
thinkers who motivated me, and lead by example for 14 years. I received an education in
Purchasing, Distribution and Warehousing there. That experience has served as my
foundation for years.

My experience and knowledge base has broadened during my career.
I spent two years in the Telecom industry, supervising a purchasing team and
helping to facilitate the needs of approximately 30 offsite locations working to
install fiber optics across the United States.

My next move was a great one. I served as the Procurement Coordinator for a National Defense Contractor and furthered my education in an amazing way. I oversaw the purchases of 2 U.S. based locations, and 6 International locations. I got to get back in a warehouse environment (dust and forklifts) and actually see many of the items I purchased. There were no product
lines. One day I could buy protective gear such as Body Armor, and the next could be Tires and Auto Parts
for a fleet of over 800 vehicles we supported. I broadened my understanding of Logistics and my eyes were opened
to the world of Government Contracting and Export Compliance regulations. Again I got to be around great
business minds, and watch and learn from them as they prioritized needs and requirements that affected the safety
of nations.

This is also where I was first introduced to the concept of Telecommuting.I telecommuted during my entire employment period and learned how Telework was able to provide a true work life balance. This was thanks to managers who were forward thinking, and willing to manage by results and objective. I’m grateful for the experience and opportunity they provided me.

And now, upon completion of my training from VAU, (Virtual Assistants University) and my Certificate from Washington State University in Telework, I am able to couple my extensive experience in Purchasing with the power of working Virtually. I.ve received instruction from the professionals and I.m thrilled to provide it to you and your business.

Over 19 years of Corporate Experience managing Purchasing and Accounting functions.
